Asia University’s College of Nursing held the “The Beauty of Exemplary Health Care” video showcase and competition. Two teams from the Post-Baccalaureate Nursing Program participated and won the “Excellence Award” and the “Outstanding Career Competency Award,” deepening their understanding of nursing values and the spirit of exemplary nursing professionals.
The first participating team, guided by Professors Li Hui-Chi and Teng Mei-Fen, consisted of Ye Zhi-Ling, Li Hong-Kai, Lü Bing-Tian, Chang Yun-Hong, Lin Yi-Feng, and Liu Zi-Ting. They produced a video titled “Exploring the Application of AI in Clinical Teaching and Future Career Development.” The team interviewed Nurse Wu Hui-Zu and Administrative Supervisor Liu Chun-Yi from the Teaching Department of China Medical University Hospital. Their work received the “Excellence Award.”
Another team, led by Professor Lin You-Fang, included Chen Ying-Zhen, Liao Jie-Ru, Ye Dong-Yi, and Gao Cheng-En. They produced a video titled “From Angels in White to Rescue Frontliners: The First-Line Mission of Multi-Role Nurses.” The team interviewed Head Nurse Tu Bing-Xu of the Emergency and Critical Care Center at Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, discussing his experiences participating in major disaster rescue operations and saving patients under challenging conditions. Through this interview, the students gained deeper insight into the true meaning of “nursing.” Their video was awarded the “Outstanding Career Competency Award.”
Student Ye Zhi-Ling shared that she gained tremendously from participating in the filming and production process. Through interviews with senior professionals and the sharing of their exemplary career experiences, she broadened her perspectives and deepened her reflections. She also learned the importance of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. Despite the many challenges faced during production, the valuable experience made all the effort worthwhile.
Director Lin Bi-Zhu of the Post-Baccalaureate Nursing Program noted that the College of Nursing encourages students to document touching moments of professional nursing practice and humanistic care through video. The program continues to promote innovative teaching and encourages students to express the humanistic essence and social impact of the nursing profession through diverse approaches such as film production.
